Introduction to LocalWise™

LocalWise™ is a repository of local businesses, mostly SMMEs looking for opportunities to supply goods and services to corporate buyers, wishing to establish partnerships with established businesses, gain access to networking and joint venture opportunities, and to establish relationships with other B-BBEE entities.

LocalWise™ registration benefits

  • Exposure to potential buyers;
  • Networking opportunities;
  • Source of business related information.  Example workshops, available source of funding etc.;
  • JV opportunities.

Minimum documentation  required  for registration purposes:

  1. Certificate of incorporation of the company (CIPC registration certificate);
  2. Valid Tax Clearance Certificate;
  3. Certified ID copy(Copies)of business owner(s) / director(s)/ member(s);
  4. Valid B-BBEE Certificate, EME Affidavit or SMME Letter from Accountant;
  5. Business profile with trade references or business plan;
  6. Banking details of the business (Proof of business bank account);
  7. Proof of residential or business address (Utility bill);
  8. Email address (If the business does not have an email address, LocalWise™ will assist in setting up the email address.)
  9. And any other certificate(s) for the company e.g. CIDB, FSB, NOSA, PSIRA, NHBRC, etc.;
  10. Contact Number(s).

Validation process

LocalWise™ administrators will check the information captured together with uploaded documents to verify that the information captured is accurate, complete and current prior to the  company being  posted on the Abacus™ database.
